A regular on television and in the national press, Nicki writes a weekly “Fit Squad” column for The Sun every Monday as well as monthly columns for Healthy Magazine and Spa World. She’s a regular contributor to Grazia, Sainsbury Magazine, Health and Fitness, Zest, Top Sante, Womans Own, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Red, Now, Reveal, Closer and Harpers and Queen.
She is the author of numerous bestselling books and DVDs including “Fight Fat, Fight Fatigue”, “Energy Makeover”,
“The Work Book”, The Sugar Addicts Diet” and “Nicki Waterman’s Flat Stomach Plan”. All books were published by Thorsons, a division of Harper Collins. Nicki is the fitness consultant and choreographer for last years Strickly Come Dancersize DVD with Erin Boag and Karen Hardy. This was the biggest selling DVD of 2008 with over 250,000 copies being sold. She has just finished
choreographing the lastest Strickly DVD with Kelly Brook and Flavia Cacarce which is due for release in December 2008. In addition to numerous appearances on GMTV, she frequently contributes to LIVING’S ‘Britain’s Next Top Model’, and makes regular appearances on many health and fitness programmes across all of the major UK stations.
She holds Fitness For Industry, ACE (American Council of Exercise) and Focus Training advanced certificates and is an accredited YMCA Personal Trainer. Her clients have included Rachel Hunter, Kelly Brook, Andy Gray; Robbie Williams; Mel C; All Saints Nicki & Natalie Appleton, Melanie Blatt and Shaznay Lewis; Alison Moyet, Denise Van Outen and Christopher Biggins.
Nicki commenced personal training in 1988 and formed her own company - Physical Attraction - in 1990. She was responsible for instigating personal training in the David Lloyd Health Clubs and was in charge of setting up and managing all gyms across the group until the Whitbread takeover, shortly after which she chose to leave and pursue her interests in the media.
